Hot Wax Play Candles

Ropes & RIggers candles are made of paraffin and have a low melting point of around 50 degrees C

This means that the melted paraffin feels delightful on the skin, as the warm drops of wax slowly run down across the skin
The cylindrical form of the candle makes it easy to place between ropes, thereby allowing a continous stream of melted wax to fall This allows you to focus on rope control or playful exploration.

Our candles are handmade, which means there may be small imperfections or variations in colour. Please be aware that coloured wax can stain

Wax Play-instructions:

To make cleaning more easy, lay a cloth underneath your play area to protect the floor and any surrounding furniture, as wax can cause stains and grease marks.
Light the candles and wait until a small pool of melted wax has formed, before you begin to play.
Turn the candle (from below) whilst you pour the wax in order to prevent uneven burning of the candle pillar itself.

Further safety recommendations:

Always play safely. Test the wax on your forearm first.
Keep the flame away from the skin. The further away you hold the candle, the cooler the wax will be by the time it falls onto the skin

Start high (about 30 cm from the skin) and adjust (higher/lower) according to your partner's preference.
If you plan to use wax play after stroke play, keep in mind that the candle will feel warmer as the skin is more sensitive.
Typically, the forearm, inner thighs, nipples and genitals are more sensitive. Thereafter, buttocks, thighs and belly Whereas shoulders and the back are typically less sensitive. Like many things, it varies from individual to individual.
Be careful when dripping wax on body jewelry, as heat can be conducted through the jewelry.
