More than just ropes
The right accessories make your equipment more versatile, aid with maintenance, and provide more options, whether you're tying on the floor or working with suspension.
A good rope is the beginning, but it's often the details that make the difference. At Ropes & Riggers, we've gathered a selection of rope accessories with a focus on quality, function, and durability.
Here you will find, among other things, suspension hardware, rope care, EMT safety scissors, bags, storage and other equipment suitable for both new and experienced climbers.
“A good rope deserves good equipment. It's all about quality, function, and those small details that make a difference.”
More than just ropes
A good rope kit consists of more than just rope. Small details can make a big difference, both in terms of safety, organisation, and the overall experience.
An EMT trauma shear should be a permanent fixture in any kit, allowing you to quickly cut through rope should the situation demand it. Many also choose to have a tenugui By hand. The traditional Japanese cotton cloth can be used as a blindfold, protection or as a discreet part of a binding.
For storage and transport, a furoshiki is an elegant solution. The Japanese cloth protects the ropes and makes it easy to gather equipment, while also supporting the aesthetics many associate with shibari.
For the more experienced practitioners, we also offer Rope spikes, which can be incorporated as part of special bonds and creative expressions.
These are products that we ourselves use in teaching, workshops, and our own work with ropes, because they solve specific tasks and fit naturally into a well-thought-out rope kit.
That's why we've chosen these specific products
Selected by people who tie themselves
Instead of having a large selection of random accessories, we've chosen to focus on products that we use ourselves, teach with, or take to events.
When we choose a product for the range, it must add real value. This can be by increasing safety, making transport easier, or supporting the Japanese tradition that underpins much of the shibari we work with.
We believe that a smaller, considered selection is more valuable than many products with the same function.
