Japanske Asanawa jutereb
Ropes & Riggers can now offer genuine Japanese produced quality Asanawa jute rope.
The ropes are beaten to be used in Shibari/Kinbaku/rope bondage.
They are beaten without the use of JBO (jute batching oil) and instead a soybean oil is used.
Would you like your ropes raw, or treated?
You can choose to purchase your ropes “raw”. Here they are filleted and burned, ready for you to treat them with your own oil, wax or whatever you want.
You can also buy Ropes & Rigger’s own signature Asanawa jute rope ready to use,
Here we have given the “raw” ropes the treatment that we believe is the best.
The ropes are applied with a thin layer of Ropes & Rigger’s own rope paste consisting of a mixture of Danish beeswax and Tsubaki oil.

Rope care
Give your ropes a premium treatment with Ropes & Riggers rope paste or Rope-oil.
Our beeswax and Tsubaki oil-based rope paste makes your ropes supple and soft,
while our Rope-oil with either Tsubaki or jojoba oil makes them smooth and pleasant to the touch.
We treat our signature ropes for sale the same way as our personalized ropes and our products are easy to use.
Your partner and your fingers will thank you for it!

RopeWiki
Rope - What should I choose?
Here, we have made a small overview of the different types of ropes that are used in rope bondage
The type of rope that appeals to each individual rigger and model is highly personal, and depends on what the rope will be used for
Rope Tuition
We have put together a small overview of places that offer tuition in Shibari, Kinbaku and Japanese rope-bondage. This covers a variety of formats such as group classes, workshops and private tuition.
Here at Ropes & Riggers we don't offer tuition, but will gladly help to find the right place for you.
Online tutorials
We have collated a few online video tutorials here
We do not feel that it is possible to learn Shibari/Kinbaku from online videos. We strongly recommend getting personal tuition from an experienced instructor either in classes at an established Shibari/Kinbaku venue, or individually
Videos are more suited for refreshing techniques that have already been learned
