Ropes & Riggers is born from a passion for shibari, kinbaku, and Japanese rope bondage. Since 2017, we have been working to bring together quality ropes, equipment, and knowledge in one place, so that both new and experienced rope enthusiasts can find what they need.
For us, ropes aren't just about equipment. They're about connection, trust, technique, and the moments that arise between people.

Ropes & Riggers was founded in 2017 with a desire to create a specialised webshop for shibari and kinbaku in the Nordic region. At the time, the market was small, and it was difficult to find quality ropes and the right equipment all in one place.
We changed that.
Today, Ropes & Riggers has grown to become the largest specialised shibari shop in the Nordic region, with customers throughout Europe and a carefully selected range for Japanese rope bondage, from hand-treated jute ropes and synthetic alternatives to safety equipment, suspension gear and care products.
We select our products with a focus on quality, function and aesthetics. Many of our ropes are hand-treated by us with our own rope paste based on tsubaki oil and Danish beeswax, so they are ready for use from the first knot.
For us, rope is more than just rope. It's craftsmanship, feeling, and experience.
