An EMT safety scissor is an essential safety tool for shibari, kinbaku and other rope bondage. Should a situation arise where a rope needs to be removed quickly, the rounded protective tip allows the scissors to be slid between the rope and skin with less risk of injuring the person.
The curved blade provides good control during cutting, making the scissors suitable for both emergencies and general tasks such as cutting frayed rope, tape, or plastic packaging.
The blade is made of stainless steel with ergonomic handles in durable ABS plastic. With a length of 17.8 cm, it has a size that allows for a good grip without unnecessarily taking up space in your equipment.
The lightweight construction makes it easy to take to workshops, events and classes, or simply keep with the rest of your rope gear.

It takes up minimal space, is easy to handle, and is a safety tool that fits naturally into any rope kit.
Good to know
An EMT safety shear has been developed as a safety tool, but it is also practical in daily work with ropes.
Many use it to trim frayed ropes, cut tape or open packaging, without needing to change tools.
The rounded tip makes it particularly suitable for tasks where working close to the body is required.
Safety
We always recommend that safety scissors are kept readily available during any form of rope tying.
An EMT safety shear is designed with a rounded safety tip and a curved blade, making it suitable for quickly releasing ropes if the situation requires it. Although the hope is that it will never be needed, it should be a permanent part of any rope kit.
